The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.
– W.B. Yeats
Whenever I interact with people online, I have an intention to perceive the person at first. This habit grew from my social anxiety.
Because while suffering from social anxiety, I became an isolated island, completely disrupted from being social.
My social anxiety was not the fear of interacting with people in person, but to pick up their call and talk to them in the call. Therefore, soon I started being afraid of making friends online too.
Thanks to my blogging community friends. Some of them were always with me whenever I needed to open up my social anxiety.
But the habit of perceiving the world around you is a very good habit to develop since childhood.
This is what says Nunchi, the art of life that teaches us the importance of using your emotional intelligence to perceive your circle or the people you meet every day.

It is said that if you succeed in learning Nunchi, then you will be more aware of the things you are listening to from people, than the things you are telling to them.
This means, if you listen to them more, and observe their activities more than you speak your heart randomly out, then it will be better for your future interactions.
Nunchi is a Korean Philosophy. It helps to hone your emotional wellbeing by giving you a chance to act in the way the world wants you.
It is a great way to maintain your emotional wellbeing as you will act as per the people around you act with you, and according to their moods.
In this way, you can easily avoid any unpredictable or unacceptable situations that might not so welcoming for you.
Along with this, it also helps to perceive interpersonal relationships and maintain a healthy relationship with everyone in your life.

Nunchi is a beautiful art of life because it’s a profound way in which you can look at your life and measure the depth of your emotional intelligence.
The more you will learn to act likewise the world acts with you, means, the more you can learn and behave in the Nunchi way in your life, the more there will be peace with others.
And this is how you will achieve success and happiness in your life.
I have been a quiet person though, yet, sometimes I react unpredictably and when everything is over, I start regretting my quick reaction.
Although, it is good to give a quick reaction,, instead of being angry or tempered, try to give a quick Nunchi look at the world around you.
Who can say, you will become more compassionate and accepting by practising Nunchi every day?

I had no idea about this method of Nunchi where one perceives the world around. It seems like a wonderful exercise to calm one’s mind. Thank you for sharing!

Fascinating! I have always believed in treating others the way they treat you. I guess, one can call that ‘Nunchi’ too, no? 🙂
