The Art of Life: Practising the Art of Acceptance with Ukeireru

Watch any plant or animal and let it teach you acceptance of what is, surrender to the Now. Let it teach you Being. Let it teach you integrity — which means to be one, to be yourself, to be real.

– Eckhart Tolle

When I started my Life Coaching studies, the first course that I did was Mindfulness studies. When I started learning Mindfulness and practising it in my daily life, the first step of my own Mindfulness journey was Accepting.

If you start living mindfully, then you will gradually become aware of the magic that accepting is the key to inner peace. And this is what you will learn through the art of life Ukeireru.

From the year 2020, we have been witnessing uncertainties all over. Therefore, if we can practice the art of accepting more, we will find peace amidst the chaos.

Ukeireru is a Japanese concept of acceptance. It is a culture that helps us to give value to the art of acceptance.

Practising the Art of Acceptance with Ukeireru

The art of acceptance is a way to help you to manage your stressors. Whether be it small or big, you will see the difference when you will start embracing the art of acceptance.

When it comes to acceptance, you need to be at peace. And when peace comes, there will be harmony. The harmony that helps you to understand the eternal connection between every being on earth, this is the real essence of embracing the art of acceptance, Ukeireru.

Since I have started accepting everything as much as possible, I have been recovering from the grief of my past, and I have stopped regretting the things that did not go as per my desire.

Ukeireru: Receiving Peace with Acceptance

I have experienced that now I am more into acceptance, and thus I am seeing the world from a different perspective. Accepting is hard, sometimes, it is very hard.

But it is not an impossible thing. Accepting does not mean you are allowing the world to do whatever they wish, or you need to accept everything irrespective of your choice. And this is what you will learn while practising Ukeireru in your life.

When you will learn the art of acceptance, it will welcome more peace to your life. Your mind will be calmer, and this is how you will be able to explore new things.

Acceptance opens the door of self-love too.

For me, finding my inner calm starts with the art of acceptance.

What about you?
