The book cover is simple yet appealing. The designer has chosen a bright shade of reddish-orange and the title of the book is written in white, black and yellow. To add an extra level of attraction, the typography has been used right so the book’s title is positively impacting the buyer’s mind.

Also, the tagline is written in a simplistic way and the fonts chosen have been justified to inform the buyer about the theme of the book. So, in my opinion, the book cover has been justified with the offerings of this self-help book.

What’s Waiting Inside:

The book starts with a brief introduction to the usefulness of habits and the changes we can witness when we practice these tiny habits regularly. Then, the author explains in the next chapter why is it important to develop good habits and how they can change our lives.

Next, the author proceeds to talk about the seven tiny habits that she recommends that readers cultivate and practice on a daily basis to see the massive results.

These seven habits are:

  1. Waking up at 5:30
  2. Meditation
  3. Journaling
  4. Letting Go
  5. Practicing Gratitude
  6. Take a Break
  7. Take Time to Make Decision

Along with these seven tiny habits, the author gifts the readers one additional habit tip which is the eighth habit of the book: Mind your own business.

So, the book generally talks about the process of developing a habit and the benefits you will get after developing that habit.

Writing Style:

The writing style of the book is information-driven and the author follows a simplistic approach to deliver the information to the readers. Moreover, the steps to form a habit are easily described so you can follow them and develop the habit with the step-by-step approach given by the author.

Only as a friendly advice to the author, at times I felt it elaborated while reading about the benefits of forming a habit. It could be done in a shorter paragraph to keep the reader’s interest intact.

A Glimpse of the Book:

Among the habits mentioned in this book, I loved the Journaling chapter the most. Here, the author has divided the journaling habit into three categories:

  • Gratitude journaling
  • Reflection journaling
  • Problem-solving and day planning

Then, she sincerely describes the small steps to follow if you want to develop journaling habit.

The baby steps involve doing the brain dump, knowing what outcomes you want, chunking down, and expressing gratitude if you are writing a gratitude journal. Also, she shares some types of journals that we can maintain – your journal could be a private notebook or a thankfulness journal or a travel notebook, or an art journal, or your journal could be a healing tool that assists you in your recovery.

I appreciate the author’s incredible power to present the facts in a sophisticated way to readers who can find it interesting to develop a habit. The extensive research behind this book shows the passion and purposefulness of the author to write such a book that will help others find success and happiness.

Also, I liked how the author added her personal experience to every chapter. This way, as a reader, I could connect to her words profoundly.

Some Important Highlights:

I appreciate the author’s take on the chapter where she elaborates on how to form a good habit. She extensively researches the small things associated with habit formation techniques.

At first, she talks about what is a Habit. Then, she talks about how a habit is formed. The author continues to discuss the Habitual Cue and I found it very interesting as this is something I came across for the first time. Then, she writes the reasons why Habits are important for our well-being too.

She also discussed how habits build our identity, how we can break old patterns, how good habits allow us to reach our goals, and then, finally, she offers a step-by-step roadmap to form a good habit and I liked it very much because steps are very easy to implement yet seems effective to develop a healthy habit in an easy way.

My Recommendation:

If you want to develop some small yet effective habits that will help you change your lifestyle and incorporate happiness in every step, then you must pick this book to know these seven useful habits.

All the habits written inside the book are easy to implement yet they can impact your life positively and give you happy vibes to face the challenges with optimism. ‘Tiny Habits Massive Results’ is a book that reminds you how important it is to develop healthy habits in our lives to live peacefully and be grateful for what we have.
