Summer arrived with Mango and Watermelon,
But there was another thing
That was a mandatory
After the lunch,
As it complemented the meal.
As soon as summer arrived,
We started having Mishti Doi
As the dessert to be served at the plate.
Mishti Doi, or the sweet yogurt,
Seemed like a bite of melted butter,
“Aha!” It was the sound we made
After finishing our lunch.
As we finished the yogurt,
the next day,
The Mishti Doi pot became empty.
Maa washed it with water,
And kept in a corner of the kitchen,
To turn it into some usable pot
Once again.
Looking at the pot,
I had an idea.
I made a few holes in the below surface,
And then stuffed it with some soil brought from the garden,
Then, I planted a small brunch of the Mini Tagar tree there,
with a hope
that someday it would grow,
Into another mommy tree
I brought the planter to the balcony
And kept it on the slab
The Mishti Doi pot was looking beautiful
For it found a place inside the house.
