I was sitting on the couch

And reading a book

All of a sudden,

A flock of birds came

And sat on the hibiscus tree beside my window.

I kept the book aside

And started gazing at those tiny birds

They were chirping fearlessly

Jumping from a branch of the tree

To another

From bottom to top

From top to bottom

They were singing their songs

And dancing in delight

There was nothing serious to discuss

Only to talk to each other

Telling how they were enjoying

Playing under the sun

Singing whatever they want

They saw me that I was watching them

But who cares!

They were fearless

As they gathered in the tree

The flowers became their accompany

To celebrate the birdsong

That sounded blissful

A moment to feel the peace around me

Far away from the urban cacophony.
