‘Forgiveness’ is difficult for me
When I ask forgiveness from the divine
It feels peace
To seek forgiveness in front of the supreme power
And surrendering all my negativities
To the lotus feet.
I am forgiven – I return with this echo in my heart.
But when I seek forgiveness from myself
It feels difficult
And this is when I realize
what transcends a human to the level of monkhood
For the people who have the biggest of hearts
Can forgive us within moments.
I sit for some moments
and then I seek forgiveness
from my younger self
For everything I have done in the past
That made her feel hurt
Afraid, alone, and unloved;
She forgives within moments
And I see her embracing my inner self
With her compassionate heart.
