I want to offer everything
To the lotus feet;
I don’t want to possess anything
As I find peace
When I make the highest of offerings
By devoting myself to the lotus feet
With a hope to be granted my only prayer
to see a glimpse of it
For once,
and then, over and over…

    God asks for our complete submission, yet we often find ourselves retreat. The longing to catch even a glimpse of Gid comes from deep devotion, much like a fruit that ripens in its own time. This happened for our saints.

    Your poem reminded me of two moments: first, when Vivekananda met Sri Ramakrishna and spoke about seeing God with one’s own eyes; and second, when Ilayaraja, while working on remake of Sivapuranam/Thiruvasagam, described the ecstasy he felt in realizing the divine.
    Such feelings are rare and precious. I believe that, as you wish, you too will experience this.

    A lovely poem-All the best!

      This means a lot, Pandian Sir. Your wish, prayer and blessing may give me more strength in my spiritual path. I am spiritually initiated in the RKM order, and a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansadev. The moment you have mentioned first in your comment, is a very very special one for all of us. I often sing the song that was sung in that meeting, by Swami Vivekananda, as requested by Thakur Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansadev. This moment has a special place in my life.

        It warms my heart to hear that. Please, there’s no need to call me “Sir.” Just Pandian is perfectly fine. I’m genuinely inspired by your spiritual journey within the RKM and as a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansadev. Thank you for sharing this with me, that says, I need to take you more seriously. I’m glad to know you πŸ™.

      I would also like to know more about the incident with Ilayaraja Sir. Do share the article where you had read about this.
