Whenever I read this quote there something happens within. This quote is as powerful as the quote writer herself. So is the thought behind this quote.
Education is such a word that is equally powerful and beautiful. Education is the power itself on which this world is running for years. Education is the most important part of our lives from the formative years that help us to grow and evolve.
All you need to know:
Most of us have spent our childhood with the colorful books, hundreds of pens and pencils, and that guiding light whom we called Teachers.
But, have you ever asked yourself how lucky you are that you have been privileged to access the best mediums of education in your childhood?
However, the word Education is still something that resides in the dark and oblivion of many children in India. Because for many people in India, making ways to earn both ends meet itself seems like a daily struggle.
In this scenario, is not is too much to ask them for giving their children the proper Education?
This is why I have chosen Access to Education as my theme for the Cause A Chatter Series 2022. Let’s have a look at some insights about Education for the underprivileged children in India.
What the children need:
When it comes to thinking about providing education to the underprivileged children in India, there come two main factors:
- The need for educated and dedicated teachers
- The need for proper infrastructure
Just think for once, for a child, what is the most necessary element in the whole education process? A teacher and a well-designed infrastructure.
Today, the people who are immensely successful in life, have the privileged to access both of them. A good mentor can guide the child from the formative years and lead the child towards a better future ahead.
Likewise, good infrastructure and a nice learning environment can give the child all the necessary information for the education process. There should be given ample opportunities for exploring new skills and learning through mistakes.
Along with this, there should be all the essential things needed in the school. As a result, for underprivileged children, these two factors contribute the most to building their life.
Restructuring the educational system:
When we think about reforming the education sector for the underprivileged children in India, then we can choose a few things.
At first, we should go back to basics. We should understand the meaning of the word ‘underprivileged’.
Therefore, at the very first step, there is a need to comprehend the socio-economic background of those children. Each of them has a different style of upbringing and views of their families. There are different goals and ambitions.
As a result, only providing free education and midday meals have less chance to attract them towards school.
We do not only need to attract them to their schools; rather, we have to inspire and motivate them to have a quality education.
Final Words:
There are many things we need to incorporate into the education sector so that we can bring a significant change in the lives of underprivileged children.
However, there is good news that many young graduates and other people have come forward to provide education to those children.
In this series, we will talk about some brilliant, kind-hearted educators and their works towards bringing a better future. They work with underprivileged children and focus on the goal of providing them a quality education. We salute those teachers, mentors, and educators, and the noble mission they have embarked upon.
Likewise, the more we will have such noble teachers, the more there will be responsible students. As a result, there will be more number of students who will become responsible youth and join hands to work towards bringing a better tomorrow.
