“The real beloved is that one who is unique, who is your beginning and your end.”
– Rumi
Love. A word that defines us in hundreds of ways. A feeling that wraps us with the robe of affection. An elixir that makes us feel rejuvenated with every sip we drink.
Love is like a feather that gently falls on the palm and we can feel its tender touch, only to look at it like a baby.
Falling in love is easy. You only need to open the door of your heart to see the light your beloved holds within. Or perhaps, your beloved sees the light your heart holds within and both your lights become one.
Isn’t it the best way you can fall in love with all your heart? When two becomes one, as Rumi said, remove that ‘and’, and one and one becomes one.

I have fallen in love in hundreds of ways. I have seen the magic of love in hundreds of theories of alchemy. I have tasted hundreds of flavors of love. For I loved my beloved from my soul and I saw my heart becoming a circle of love where two lovers are surrounded with hundreds of dancers who are whirling for eternity. The mystical light that embraced us when we became one, and that sacred union became a moment of eternity for there was no dimension of time where we united. I kept my head on his chest and heard his heartbeat whispering my name. He kissed my forehead and the touch of his lips awakened me from a hundred years of sleep. As if I was feeling thirsty with scarcity of love, and a magical touch drenched me in the shower of love. And we two, losing ourselves in a speck of eternity, murmured the prayer to praise His grace.
We were lost in the zone where there was no time, where there was no separate identity, where there was no name to call the beloved. We witnessed the power of pause when two lovers meet each other. There was nothing but only one. One heart, one soul, one love. This is how two lovers transcend to eternity where there is only love. The love that lives forever on earth. The love that was longing for ages to see a glimpse of beloved. The love that never fades, never dies, but gives rebirth of love, only to witness a new era when there will be no boundaries between them, nobody seeing them run towards each other, nowhere to feel caged. There will be only liberation, for their love will liberate their souls to live in the land of infinity. Thus, will come the moment when they will meet.
At that moment, they will realize that they were never apart, for they always lived in each other, making their love a circle of eternity.
And Rumi’s words will echo,
“You and I will be together
till the universe dissolves.”
