As I climb the peak

Everything vanishes

Even the pinnacle itself;

Keeping me floating

In the devoid of nothingness.

    To float in the eternal void, far above the mundane and the mediocre, is the zenith of achievement.

    My and your topics are somewhat similar. This poem took me to Maslow’s hierarchy theory of needs, where the basic needs are at the bottom, and as we accomplish them, we climb higher and higher, and everything vanishes until we reach a state of transcendence, just like you described, “keeping me floating in the devoid of nothingness.”

    The poem beautifully captures the paradox of striving and letting go. Zenith- where the journey dissolves the self and even the destination ceases to matter. Truly, the essence of transcendence. What an end to this beautiful series starting from Awareness to reaching the Zenith. Thank you for this beautiful journey inwards.

    That feeling of nothingness i.e. nirwana i.e. zen mode is something we all keep rushing behind all our lives, isn’t it?
    Congratulations on the successful completion of the A2Z challenge. Really enjoyed reading all your poems, Swarnali and hope you’re thinking of converting them into a book someday because I’m confident that the more people read it, the more the world would be a peaceful place, something we are in dire need of 🙂

      Thank you so much, Manali, for reading and sharing all my poems. It means a lot, truly. Thanks for your support, encouragement and motivation. Yes, I do have a plan to compile these poems into a book someday but not in near future. It will take time certainly. But I am grateful to you for staying with me in this challenge. Gratitude, friend. 😇
