I wear this earth on me.

I draw a circle on my forehead with soil, weave a chaplet, a garland, and bangles of leaves.

Sink myself in the river and keep floating…

The earth lives in me.

Unfolding the chapters of the story living within, slowly, the fragrance of fallen foliage rises from the heap beside the footpath.

Walking alone, I smell the rain-soaked earth.

Sitting on the lonely cement bench in the park, we start our conversation.

I, earth, and the silence between us.

Short and deep. It captures a sense of primordial connection—the idea that the boundary between the human body and the natural world is much thinner than we usually pretend.

The way you captured the quiet connection between nature and human emotion served like a gentle reminder to pause, listen, and reconnect with the world around us

This is beautiful! Was the use of cement bench deliberate rather than a wooden one?
