I write my words

On the sand

They become the sand grains

Mingling with my footprints.

I make idols

With the clay

Then I break them

And turn them into dust.

I take the sand grains and the dust

And give them to you, my universe.

I don’t want

Nirvana

Moksha

Mukti

For I find salvation

In the circle of creation and destruction

In the circle of birth and rebirth

In the circle of surrendering and oneness

For every moment, every fraction of a second

I feel liberated, I feel enlightened, I feel Illuminated

Rising from the fire,

Chanting the hymn to eternity.

Your words in this one drew up an imagery of a phoenix in my mind. Wonderfully done, Swarnali.

Somehow I also saw a vision of the Phoenix while writing the last line. And also, a glimpse of Draupadi. Thanks for reading my poems, Manali. Means a lot.

The poem’s ending sparks a fire in the reader’s heart.

Liberation through destruction, enlightenment through rebirth, and illumination through surrender-such a strong message these lines conveyed to me, in a dhyanic tone.

    Well done. All the best.
