I long to see a glimpse of Him
Gora, taking the form of the moon
Ascends on this earth
On the night of His holy birth.
Sometimes Him, sometimes the moon,
Sometimes He cries, sometimes He laughs,
Nobody understands what is going on,
They only gaze at the crescent moon
Floating in the middle of the sky, behind the woods.
He is maddened in love with Krishna
Sometimes He looks like Krishna himself
Sometimes, His beloved.
Intertwining both the lovers together,
Radha and Krishna, became one in Gora,
Bathing the earth with the love of Chaitanya.

(This poem is written based on the theme of oneness of Radha and Krishna in Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanyadev. It is believed that in Him, both the lovers had their souls. I tried to write a poem based on my interpretation of the word ‘oneness’ by imagining the spiritual union of two lovers, or, the lover and the beloved.)
