Dragonflies

weave the string of light,

with their whispers in a golden flight.

Before the advent of rain

They gather to celebrate

The drops of happiness from heaven.

I see a reflection in their jeweled eyes

Like holding tiny lanterns in the afternoon sky.

They leave,

Yet the hush hovers above

As I travel back in time.

This feels like a quiet memory wrapped in sunlight. So delicate, so still—the way you’ve held a fleeting moment and made it linger is simply beautiful.

A poem that conveys softness and beauty. I love the line…Whispers in golden light.
