Word of the Day – Quiet
Wandering of the mind is a common thing of human. The mind always tends to travel with thoughts. From thinking about the future, finishing the daily works and ticking the to do list jobs, to taking care of home and travelling the world, every moment the mind is filled with hundreds of thoughts. Many times, it happens that you feel stressed or tired or exhausted. You might feel burned out at your work place. You might overwhelmed with the everyday works at home. That time, all you need is a little break from the work you are doing. Whatever be the work, wherever you are living in. You just need a small frame of time and be quiet.
Here begins your day of being Quiet.
The task of the day:
Find a place to sit that feels calm and quiet to you. Take a seat. Set a time limit. You can choose a short time, such as five or ten minutes. You can sit in a chair with your feet on the floor, you can sit loosely cross-legged, you can kneel; in whatever you way wish. Just make sure you are stable and in a position you can stay in for a while. Now, notice your body and feel your breath. Follow the sensation of your breath as it goes in and as it goes out.Notice when your mind is wandering. Inevitably, your attention will leave the breath and wander to other places. Let it be. Let it wander for some moments but after a while, in a few seconds, a minute, five minutes—return your attention to the breath.Be kind to your wandering mind. Don’t judge yourself. Don’t get hard on yourself. But don’t let yourself be there amidst the thoughts you find yourself lost in. Come back. After spending some moments in this way, gently lift your eyes and open them. Take a moment and notice your surroundings. Hear the sounds in the environment. Notice how your body feels right now. Feel the connection with your inner self. Feel your thoughts and emotions. Let them flow with calm.
Quote of the day:
Affirmations of the day:
Today, I feel cam. I feel peaceful. I feel a bliss in my mind as I found a small break from my works and took a time for being quiet. Today, I choose to be calm. Today I choose to be quite. Today, I choose to sink me deep in the sea of quietude. Write in your journal:Today you need to write about your thoughts of bliss. As you gifted yourself a handful of peaceful moments, pen down your feelings and emotions. Whatever you felt and discovered, just write it down. It’s all about your experience, write it in your own way.
The last step of this process:
Before you leave the place, assure yourself by saying:
“Today, I found some time from the rush of life to spend some blissful moments with myself. I discovered to quiet my mind in a blissful way. It helps to heal the mind, body, and soul. I embraced peace and calm with all my heart. I will let this state of bliss stay with me for the whole day. I will come back tomorrow with a new purpose and try to learn a new way of living mindfully.
I am here to receive more peace and more calm in my life.”
This is all for today. We will come back here tomorrow once again with a new way of mindful living. Till then, be still, be calm, be mindful.
