Spending time with Nature to find peace of mind

Day 14

Word of the Day – Nature

Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

When we feel low, sad or stressed, we look for a place where we can get a momentary shelter of peace. We seek refuge from the daily life jobs and go there to spend some moments with our own selves. The same happens for the mind. When you feel tired or exhausted with the rush of life, try to find some minutes from the daily routine and come to the nature’s retreat. You can make a conscious choice to spend some blissful moments in the lap of nature. This way, you will give a chance to nourish your mind, body, and soul with the healing effect of nature.Being in nature not only benefits your mind, body, and soul by reducing stress and anxiety, but it gives you a larger exposure of life. When you spend some mindful moments with nature, when you return, you take home a person with fresh thoughts and beliefs. As you give a chance to yourself to have a glimpse of the universe, your mind is filled with wisdom of life. So, today we will discuss about being in nature in a mindful way and healing the mind, body, and soul with the blissful serenity of nature.

Here begins your day of healing with Nature.

The task of the day:

Sit in a place that is amidst the nature. Close to forest, or a river, or a garden where you can have a lot of natural resources to be mindful. Take a seat with your feet on the ground Feel the air, the natural vibes, and everything you can see around you. Take a deep breath in. Notice your body as you inhale. Feel the connection between you and the nature. Try to relate to the environment and be aware of your surroundings. Appreciate the nature and beauty you can see everywhere around you. Now, take a long breath out. Notice your body as you exhale. Follow your breath in and out. Be aware as you breathe in and aware as you breathe out.

Quote of the day:

Being in nature is a silence art of meditation.

– The Saffron Storyteller

Affirmations of the day:

With this sound of chirping of birds, my mind heals. With this glittering sound of the flowing river, my soul heals. With this gentle breeze and the serene morning vibes, my body heals. Sitting in the lap of nature, I feel an absolute calm in my mind. We may forget to say thanks to her, but mother earth is always there to hold me in her arms and bestow the life with peace. This morning has everything to fill my heart with bliss. The beauty of nature gift me a surreal morning and a day filled with peace.

Write in your journal:

Today, you have to write about your observations in the nature. The sounds you hear, the beauty you saw, the smells you had and everything you experienced there. Pen down your experience with spending some blissful moments with nature. Write about your feelings and whatever you discovered in this process.

The last step of this process:

Before you leave the place, assure yourself by saying:

“Today, I found some time from the rush of life to spend some blissful moments with nature. I discovered that nature heals in a blissful way. It helps to heal the mind, body, and soul. Spending some solitary moments in nature and giving myself a chance to introspection, became a blissful treat to the self. I learned a joyful art of being mindful in life. I embraced peace and calm with all my heart. I will let this state of bliss stay with me for the whole day. I will come back tomorrow with a new purpose and try to learn a new way of living mindfully.

I am here to receive more peace and more calm in my life.”

This is all for today. We will come back here tomorrow once again with a new way of mindful living. Till then, be still, be calm, be mindful.

  1. I always believe nature is the best healer, one gets so much refreshed when with nature. For me, nature’s 5 elements aka panchtatwa’s of life have always been inspiring and motivating. Being a sky watcher and tree hugger myself can’t deny the value of nature giving peace and calm. I had blissful moments of nature today, thanks for reminding me again.
