Understanding yourself in a deeper way with love, empathy, and kindness

Word of the day: Understanding

Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.

You do the works as per life’s wish. You play the role of a puppet in the theater of life. Everyday, you wake up in morning and start doing the tasks listed in the to do list of that day.

Every day, you set new goals and work towards finishing them one by one. When you complete a job and tick the list, you become happy with a feel of accomplishment.


But, today’s task is completely different from other days. Today’s goal is to understand yourself. In a little deeper way, with a little more love, empathy, and kindness.
Give yourself a break. From everything. Today, do something as per your heart’s wish.


Here begins your day of Understanding.

The task of the day:
Sit and relax.
Try to vacuum your mind and be still.
Whenever the prompt is coming to your mind that you have a lot of works pending in your to do list, bring your mind to peace.
Now, start being mindful to your thoughts. Notice what kind of thoughts are coming to your mind now. Are they relevant to your life? Do they help you to bring peace in life?
Have a deeper look at your requirements. What do you need now? If you feel hungry, eat. If you feel thirsty, drink. If you feel tired, relax your mind.
Understand what you need today. Apart from works that are already scheduled for today, what you need. A touch of kindness, a lovely hug, or calling a friend and speak your heart.
Discover your feelings and emotions. Be kind to yourself. Understand your thoughts. Understand yourself in a better way and spend a peaceful time with her.

Affirmations of the day:
I feel calm, I feel peaceful. I had a glimpse of my inner self today as I peaked inside my soul.
Write in your journal:
Today you need to write about your thoughts of bliss. As you gifted yourself a handful of peaceful moments, pen down your feelings and emotions. Whatever you felt and discovered, just write it down. It’s all about your experience, write it in your own way.

The last step of this process:
Before you leave the place, assure yourself by saying:
“Today, I found some time from the rush of life to spend some blissful moments with myself. I discovered to quiet my mind in a blissful way. It helps to heal the mind, body, and soul. I embraced peace and calm with all my heart. I will let this state of bliss stay with me for the whole day. I will come back tomorrow with a new purpose and try to learn a new way of living mindfully.

I am here to receive more peace and more calm in my life.”
